A reverse mortgage is a special type of mortgage that enables older homeowners to convert part of the equity in their homes into tax-free disbursements. The payments are reversed. "Getting Your Affairs in Order"
When Baby Boomers start turning 65 in 2011, 10,000 people will turn 65 everyday and that will continue for the next 20 years. Many people will find themselves either needing care, or in a caregiving role.
This program will focus on a family guide produced by the AARP Foundation to help participants get their personal affairs organized. Participants use a five step plan which covers topics such as: communicating with family members and others, organizing a caregiving team, assessing needs and who can address them, making a plan, and plan implementation. Participants will find this program user-friendly and helpful in making their adult caregiving decisions either for themselves or for an adult they are, or will be, caring for in the future. What a great opportunity to get your thoughts, plans, and paperwork organized!
