The Big Read
This wonderful children's event will engage and excite your child on the topic of money and saving! The two books being read are "Benny's Pennies" and "Trouble with Money". Your child will participate in story time, songs and a fun activity. Registration is required, each child will receive a free copy of the book that is read to them.

Reality Check
During Reality Check 600 high school students have the opportunity to test their budgeting skills while gaining insight into career selection, and how their section will play a part in their financial future. This realistic and fun simulation also provides an opportunity for students to connect with community business leaders. This experience is a great way for students to receive a true "Reality Check" before venturing out in the real world!

Small Steps to Health and Wealth
Every New Year Americans resolve to get healthier (quit smoking and lose weight) and wealthier (reduce debt and increase savings). Health and personal finance issues top the charts when people are asked about the things they would like to change the most. Small Steps provides a detailed description of 25 small steps that participants can do to improve their health and wealth. Small steps are easier and less overwhelming to implement and small adjustments are easier to make into habits over time. There are print materials that will be shared at the class along with access to a website that can be used to help participants succeed.

2nd Annual Fox Cities Financial Makeover Challenge
The Fox Cities Financial Makeover Challenge is designed to help local families improve their financial situation. Individual coaches will help participants set goals and build strategies to help increase their savings, reduce their debt and reduce their expenses over a four month period beginning in December 2009.

Back to School Again - Financial Aid Workshop
This workshop is for non-traditional students and parents of college-bound students. The evening will cover financial aid basics and strategies in an informal, hands-on workshop format. Participants will learn how to fill out a FAFSA form and other paperwork for financial aid. Attendees will also explore alternative ways to pay for school, including scholarships, loans, work study and more. Free admission; walk-ins welcome.

Shredfest
There will be a large on-site shredding truck at our Calumet Street location that you can bring your personal papers to shred. There will be large bins in all 15 of our branches the week of Oct. 10-17 that you can drop off small amounts of papers to be shredded. If you have a box or more of papers to be shredded, please bring it to the truck on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Calumet Street from 9 a.m. to noon. If you need some help in knowing what to shred, please check our website, www.foxcu.org for more information. Any questions please direct them to Lynn Marie, 920-993-3770 or Leeann, 920-993-3790. The public is welcome, as well as local businesses.
